Live at Wood Hall | |
![]() order CD $ 23.98 |
Live at Wood Hall is an exciting journey through the artist's concert repertoire, freshly recorded in the converted chapel of Victoria (B.C.)'s Conservatory of Music. Alongside more than an album's worth of original songs of love and hope to social and political commentary, Allison covers her favourites - in a range from roots & blues, through folk, pop/rock, jazz and Broadway. Once again, Larry Anschell (Turtle Studios) captured the music on tape and Alix Whitmire designed the beautiful artwork/CD cover. ''Music, man, that's where it's at'/ it is a religious line/ outside, the chimes rung/ an they/ are still ringin.'' |

Secrets | |
![]() order CD $ 9.98 |
Allison Crowe recorded this solo, singer-songwriter, album in 2004. Setting up a home studio, Allison engineered and assisted with production (alongside Rainer Willeke of the r'n'b combo, Soul Station). Alley performs all vocals (lead and harmonies), plays piano, guitar, keyboards and added percussive 'thumps' to the collection. Secrets contains ""old"" favourites (some of which are radically redefined), newly-penned songs, and a couple of Alley's personal picks from other artists: Counting Crows' ''Raining in Baltimore'' ~ the first song Allison performed when she launched her career as a singer-songwriter; and ""Joan of Arc"", another exemplar of Leonard Cohen's poetic brilliance. Guest artists are Del Crowe (guitar), Jo Lundstrom (accordion), Eric Reiswig (Uilleann pipes) and Rainer Willeke (tambourine). |

Lisa's Song + 6 Songs | |
![]() order CD $ 9.98 |
Please visit Lisa's Page to learn about Lisa, the inspiration for the first track on this special edition disc - which was recorded live-off-the-floor in April 2003, by Rick Erickson, of Seacoast Sound in Victoria, B.C. The 6 songs that follow ""Lisa's Song"" were recorded live-off-the-floor one afternoon on two-track analog tape by Larry Anschell, at Turtle Studios in White Rock, B.C. The essential truth of this July 2001 session (as Alley was on her way to perform in Seattle, WA for Pearl ""Jammers"") has been captured in these live, unmixed, grooves. (NB two, earlier, EPs do not contain Lisa's Song ~ they're titled 6 Songs, and 6 Songs+ All three versions contain songs 2 through 7 as listed below. ) |
