Newfoundland based singer-songwriter Blair Harvey has been recently nominated for two Music Industry Association awards - the prestigious 2005 country artist of the year and 2005 male artist of the year. With his debut album ""Burning Down Religion"" Harvey has crossed Canada stopping off to showcase his music at such celebrated events as the Stan Rogers Festival in Nova Soctia, the World Folk Alliance in Montreal and the infamous Southern Shore Shamrock Festival in his hometown of Ferryland. Harvey has also recently performed his music in Ireland. Harvey perfroms extensively in St.John's, Newfoundland and has been an annual performer in the coveted ""Man in Black: A Tribute to Johnny Cash"" and LSPU Hall's ""Feast of Cohen"". With more than forty original songs under his belt, Harvey has released his new album along with his new band, Blair Harvey and the Dregs. |
